What is the Halo™ Fractional Laser?
Halo™ was developed by Sciton® as a cutting-edge hybrid fractional laser and is the sole laser of this type available today. This laser uses the concentrated energy of a laser to safely form tiny microscopic holes in the skin’s surface. As the skin heals itself, radiant, new skin appears in place of the dull, older skin. The mild damage applied to the skin prompts the body to produce collagen, which encourages the growth of more youthful, healthy skin. The laser uses something known as Dynamic Thermal Optimization (DTO) to constantly check the temperature of the skin and make changes automatically to the density and pulse of the laser energy, making treatments effective and safe for patients. The laser uses various settings, which makes it perfect for customization of treatments to suit the individual needs of each unique patient.

Would I make a good candidate for treatment with the Halo™ Laser?
If you are displeased with the early appearance of aging signs such as uneven skin texture and dark pigmentation, you may make a good candidate for treatment. Ideal patients are in good health overall, have reasonable expectations regarding outcomes, and have a good understanding of the treatment process. Halo™ laser treatments can also be used in conjunction with other types of both invasive and non-surgical treatments for ideal results.
What can I expect from a Halo™ Laser treatment?
Your treatment should take under 30 minutes. Treatments are normally well tolerated and not painful. The Halo™ laser uses a special cooling tip that maintains your skin comfort during treatment and after. The procedure involves passing the laser safely over your skin’s surface. As it does so, quick laser energy pulses are emitted. In contrast to some laser treatments, Halo™ uses only one pass per treatment area, which makes it safer and more dependable.
Halo™ Fractional Laser treatment recovery
Following your treatment, your skin will probably be red, and you may experience some minor swelling. Your skin may also be tender for a few days afterward. Most patients who undergo a Halo™ laser treatment require no downtime. You may wear makeup the following day, go to work, and take part in your normal activities. It is recommended that you use a moisturizer as your skin heals.
