How Does It Work?
MOXI® delivers fractionated laser energy to create micro-coagulation zones which the body then repairs, replacing damaged cells with fresh new ones. MOXI® is designed to provide tonal and textural improvements to your face with low downtime, resulting in skin renewal.
What Is the Treatment Experience?
Not only is MOXI® less harsh than other lasers, it also is a quicker procedure. At Sanctuary Medical Aesthetic Center, you’ll first have a consultation appointment to determine if MOXI® is the best choice for your skin. If so, you’ll schedule your appointment with your provider and get started!
At the start of your appointment, numbing cream will be applied to your face and let that sit for about 15 minutes. While the MOXI® laser is gentle enough to bypass numbing cream, it’s usually recommended to make sure your pain is as minimal as possible. The laser treatment itself takes just 15 minutes to complete, having you in and out in roughly half an hour!
Your skin may appear red for the next 24 hours, but you’re able to wear makeup the following day of the treatment. Full results can be seen within one week of your procedure.

How Comfortable Is the Treatment?
Depending on the level of treatment provided, most patients find the treatment well tolerated. Your practitioner may use cooling air and recommend numbing cream to help ensure your treatment is as comfortable as possible.
How Long Does It Take to See Results?
Results vary depending on your treatment goals. For the day following your treatment, your skin may appear red, and depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots called mendz where the laser was applied. As the micro zones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3-5, the mendz will slough off, revealing the renewed skin beneath.
BBL™ vs MOXI® Treatments
MOXI® is a gentler laser, making it a good choice for someone who’s never had laser treatment before or who is looking to prevent signs of aging and loss of elasticity in the skin. MOXI® is good for “pre-juvenation,” or prevention, and works wonderfully when combined with BBL™. BBL™ reduces redness, improves hyperpigmentation, and tightens the skin. Both BBL™ Hero and MOXI® have minimal discomfort and little to no downtime. The combination of the two delivers maximum results, leaving you with incredibly smooth, more radiant skin.
