Restylane in Boca Raton, FL

Located in Boca Raton and serving the residents of West Palm Beach and all of South Florida, Sanctuary Medical Center offers Restylane® as a cosmetic filler to those who desire cosmetic dermatology.

What Is Restylane®?

Restylane® is a cosmetic filler containing hyaluronic acid (HA), which is designed to reduce moderately severe to severe lines and wrinkles around the mouth by adding volume to create a more youthful appearance.

How Does Restylane® Work?

Restylane® is made primarily of non-animal hyaluronic acid which closely resembles the HA found in our skin. When injected, it diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles, especially those that are more prominent. This filler is designed for wrinkles and lines around the nose and mouth to give a softer, more natural look.

What Are the Benefits of Restylane®?

Restylane® offers patients the following benefits:

  • Instant results
  • Long lasting results – up to a year
  • Does not affect facial expression
  • Most studied and tested HA-based cosmetic filler since its launch in 1996

What Areas Are Best Treated with Restylane®?

The folds of the nose and around the mouth are the best places to receive Restylane® injections. The FDA has also approved it to correct and plump lips for patients over 21 years of age.

How Long Is the Procedure to Inject Restylane®?

The procedure to inject Restylane® is very quick, taking about 30 minutes on average, depending on the area(s) you want to correct. The filler is injected into the area in small amounts with a fine gauge needle.

Is the Procedure Painful?

Most patients find that Restylane® injections may cause very mild discomfort. A local anesthetic cream is placed on the areas to numb the skin. For lips, we do recommend local anesthesia or a dental block as the lips are a very sensitive part of the body.

How Long Does Restylane® Last?

Depending on your skin type, lifestyle and age, you can expect Restylane® to last six months to a year. Lips tend to last about six months. One of the great advantages of Restylane® is that, though not permanent, the effects are long lasting. Duration depends on many factors, such as the individual’s skin type, lifestyle, and age. After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 to 12 months depending on the individual and the treatment. Re-treatment of the lips is recommended after about six months.

What Is the Cost Involved in Restylane® Injections in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, FL?

The cost of Restylane® varies with each patient, depending on the extent of the injections. During your initial consultation, we will discuss the cost of Restylane® treatments as well as available financing options.
