How many hair-removal sessions do I need?
The laser energy targets hair that’s in an early growth phase. Because your many thousands of hairs grow at different rates and are in different stages during your laser therapy, you may need a series of up to six treatments to reach all of them.
How much hair is permanently removed?
After a series of treatments, up to 80% of your hair is permanently removed with the GentleMax Pro®. Your aesthetic professional may recommend biannual touch-ups to keep your face and body hair-free.
What if I have sensitive, very fair, or very dark skin?
The GentleMax Pro® is safe for all skin types and tones. Your Sanctuary Medical Center expert adjusts the laser’s settings based on the pigmentation in your skin and hair. The 755 nm setting is optimal for fair to medium skin, while the 1064 nm setting safely removes hair on dark skin.>
Does laser hair removal hurt?
The GentleMax Pro® laser feels warm and sometimes prickly when it targets your unwanted hair. The Sanctuary Medical Center team keeps you comfortable with a topical anesthetic gel, if necessary.
