What is eczema?
Eczema is a form of dermatitis called atopic dermatitis that usually manifests itself on the arms and behind the knees although it can show up on other parts of the body. Though it is a chronic condition, those with eczema usually deal with recurring bouts that may be triggered by many factors, such as environmental irritants and stress.

How do you treat eczema?
First of all, we need to make a proper diagnosis of eczema, which is done in our office. We evaluate the areas of concern and get a medical and family health history specifically about rashes and skin allergies. Once the diagnosis is made, the course of treatment is designed to ease the discomfort by reducing inflammation and itching as well as to prevent future flare-ups. Treatments include corticosteroids, antibiotics, and antihistamines – topical, oral or injectable – as well as light therapy.
What is the cost of eczema treatment in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, FL?
The cost of treating eczema varies depending on the extent of the skin condition. Our staff is happy to help you determine if health insurance covers all or part of the costs. Additionally, we can help you with financing options.
